FAQs
Common questions
How does Activate Talent's pricing work?
You pay for the service you use. Employer of Record is one all-in rate per specialist that covers their pay, benefits, payroll and our management. Contractor of Record is the contractor's pay plus a flat fee. Head Hunting is a one-time placement fee. Nothing is charged before your hire starts.
What is the difference between EOR and Contractor of Record?
With EOR we are the legal employer: the specialist gets an employment contract, benefits and paid leave, and we handle compliance and HR. With Contractor of Record the person stays an independent contractor. We hold the agreement, run the payroll and take on the misclassification liability, but there are no benefits or HR layer, which is why it costs less.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
No. EOR and Contractor of Record are month to month with 30 days' notice. Head Hunting has no ongoing commitment, and comes with a 60-day free replacement guarantee.
How and when am I invoiced?
Twice a month, on the 15th and the last day, through Stripe. Payment terms are agreed per client. Head Hunting fees are invoiced once, on the candidate's start date.
What happens if the hire does not work out?
EOR placements are replaced at no extra placement cost. Head Hunting placements are replaced free of charge if it does not work out within 60 days of the start date. Contractor of Record engagements can be ended with notice, and we can source a replacement as a separate engagement.
Can I switch between solutions later?
Yes. The most common move is Contractor of Record to EOR once a contractor becomes a long-term team member. Your account manager handles the paperwork and the specialist keeps working without a gap.
