About the Company
Our client is a growing e-commerce business selling products across multiple Amazon marketplaces. The company focuses on maintaining strong account health, protecting its brand, keeping product listings accurate, and meeting Amazon's policies and regulatory requirements.
As the business expands into more markets, it is looking for an experienced Amazon Account Health & Compliance Specialist to help keep its seller accounts in good standing and ensure smooth day-to-day marketplace operations.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Amazon Account Health & Compliance Specialist to manage account health, resolve listing issues, handle Amazon support cases, and oversee compliance requirements across multiple marketplaces.
In this role, you will identify potential account risks, resolve policy violations, submit appeals, correct catalog errors, and ensure required documents and registrations are up to date.
You will work closely with internal teams and Amazon support to resolve issues quickly and prevent them from happening again.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central, understands Amazon's policies, and can independently manage multiple issues, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1) Account Health & Violation Management
- Monitor account health and Account Health Rating (AHR) daily across all assigned marketplaces.
- Investigate and resolve policy violations involving intellectual property, restricted products, product authenticity, safety, and listing compliance.
- Write and submit appeals and Plans of Action (POAs) to reinstate listings or accounts.
- Respond to new account health notifications within 24 hours.
- Monitor seller performance metrics and keep them within Amazon's required limits:
- Order Defect Rate: Below 1%
- Late Shipment Rate: Below 4%
- Pre-fulfillment Cancel Rate: Below 2.5%
- Valid Tracking Rate: At least 95%, where applicable to seller-fulfilled orders.
- Review customer experience alerts and address listings flagged as “Poor” or “Very Poor.”
- Handle account verification requests involving identity, banking, business information, and other required documents.
- Track violations, deadlines, appeals, and resolutions to prevent account suspension or loss of selling privileges.
2) Amazon Support & Case Management
- Open and manage Seller Support cases until issues are resolved.
- Maintain a tracker of open cases, including their status, priority, deadlines, and next steps.
- Coordinate with the Strategic Account Services (SAS) manager to discuss priority issues and follow up on outstanding cases.
- Escalate unresolved issues through the appropriate Amazon support channels.
- Identify recurring problems and fix their root causes instead of repeatedly addressing the same issues.
- Keep clear records of communications, supporting documents, and case outcomes.
3) Listing & Catalog Management
- Fix listing issues such as missing product swatches, incorrect variations, broken parent-child relationships, and missing product options.
- Investigate reviews incorrectly assigned to products and report suspected review abuse through the appropriate channels.
- Identify and resolve suppressed, inactive, search-suppressed, and stranded listings.
- Correct catalog errors involving product details, brand names, categories, titles, images, and A+ Content.
- Monitor unauthorized sellers and potential listing hijackers to help protect the brand.
- Use Amazon Brand Registry tools, including Report a Violation and Project Zero, where applicable.
- Prepare and update flat files and bulk feeds to correct listing information across multiple products.
- Work with catalog and content teams to maintain accurate, complete, and compliant product listings.
4) Marketplace & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure applicable EU and UK listings meet General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requirements, including Responsible Person details.
- Track required Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) registrations and reporting for packaging, WEEE, and other applicable schemes.
- Support US compliance requirements relevant to the products sold, including MoCRA for cosmetics and California Proposition 65 warnings where applicable.
- Prepare and submit product safety documents, ingredient disclosures, test reports, and other compliance documents requested by Amazon.
- Coordinate with Finance and Legal on VAT, tax verification, and business documentation requests.
- Track compliance deadlines, registrations, and renewals across marketplaces.
- Stay updated on Amazon policy changes and communicate important updates to the team.
- Ensure required documents are submitted accurately and on time to avoid listing removals or account restrictions.
5). Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare a weekly report covering account health, open violations, unresolved cases, suppressed listings, and potential risks across all marketplaces.
- Work with catalog, content, supply chain, customer service, Finance, and Legal teams to resolve issues.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists for recurring problems.
- Recommend ways to reduce account violations, improve resolution times, and prevent repeated issues.
- Maintain organized records of compliance activities, account health updates, and completed fixes.
- Check that new marketplaces are ready for launch, including required registrations, tax requirements, product listings, and compliance documentation.
What Success Looks Like
- Keeping Amazon seller accounts healthy across all assigned marketplaces.
- Responding to account health notifications within 24 hours.
- Resolving violations and submitting appeals within required deadlines.
- Maintaining seller performance metrics within Amazon's thresholds.
- Reducing listing suppressions and recurring catalog issues.
- Resolving Amazon support cases efficiently and following through on escalations.
- Keeping required regulatory documents, registrations, and verifications up to date.
- Providing accurate weekly reports and flagging potential risks early.
- Creating clear processes that help the team prevent recurring issues.
- Ensuring new marketplaces meet compliance requirements before launch.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable solving complex Amazon issues independently. They know how to navigate Seller Central, communicate effectively with Amazon support, and protect the business from account health and compliance risks.
