Accounting Associate

Role: Accounting Associate/Staff Accountant

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Location: Remote, EST hours required

Must-haves

• Works Eastern Time standard business hours. This is a requirement. We'd prefer candidates based in Latin America or another region close to EST, so the role isn't consistently working overnight to match our hours.
• Strong English, written and spoken. They'll work directly with our accounting and operations teams and communicate with retail customers on remittances.
• Experienced, not entry level. Solid accounting fundamentals (US GAAP), strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently once trained.
• QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred. Experience with wholesale/retail A/R, EDI (SPS Commerce) or retailer chargebacks is a plus.

What they'll do The Accounting Associate provides bookkeeping and analytical support to our Accounting Manager, focused on our fast-growing wholesale channel:

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including high-volume customer invoicing (500+ per month), credit memos and payments.
• Monitor A/R and resolve remittance delays and discrepancies.
• Track retailer chargebacks and work with Operations on disputes.
• Support the monthly close, including journal entries, state sales tax returns, amortization schedules and account reconciliations.
• Prepare recurring monthly reports and help with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis.

• Experienced accounting professional with solid US GAAP fundamentals and strong Excel skills, required to work Eastern Time standard business hours with strong written and spoken English.

• QuickBooks Online experience, wholesale/retail accounts receivable experience, EDI (SPS Commerce) experience or retailer chargeback experience.
