About the Role

Social Media & Community Coordinator – K-Beauty About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media & Community Coordinator with a strong background in beauty, a deep understanding of K-Beauty, and an excellent feel for U.S. social media culture and trends.

This is not a traditional social media coordinator role focused solely on scheduling posts and responding to comments. We’re looking for someone who is social-first, culturally aware, creatively minded, and plugged into what is happening across beauty and social media in the U.S.

You’ll work closely with our Social Media Manager to help execute and grow our social presence, identify emerging trends, build an engaged community, and ensure our content feels relevant to the right audience on the right platform.

The ideal candidate understands what U.S. consumers are talking about, what is culturally relevant, what is trending, and how K-Beauty fits into that conversation.

Key Responsibilities Schedule and publish content across our social media channels Write engaging captions that align with the brand voice and resonate with our audience Stay closely connected to U.S. social media culture, internet culture, beauty culture, and emerging trends Monitor TikTok, Instagram, and other relevant platforms for trends, formats, sounds, conversations, and content opportunities Help identify how current trends can be adapted into relevant beauty and K-Beauty content Respond to comments promptly and in an authentic, on-brand voice Manage DMs, answer everyday customer and community questions, and escalate sensitive or complex issues when needed Engage with tagged posts, mentions, and user-generated content Proactively build relationships and engagement within the beauty and K-Beauty community Engage with relevant beauty creators, brands, communities, and accounts Identify opportunities to organically grow the brand's presence and visibility Create light, social-first content including quick clips, Stories, memes, graphics, and trend-based content Support content ideation and contribute ideas for new social concepts and formats Monitor conversations around the brand and flag counterfeit mentions, complaints, sensitive topics, or potential reputational issues Stay up to date on K-Beauty launches, products, ingredients, creators, brands, and industry conversations Support the Social Media Manager with brand-affiliated projects and broader social initiatives Help ensure content is adapted appropriately for the specific platform, audience, and cultural moment What We’re Looking For Strong experience working in beauty, skincare, cosmetics, or K-Beauty Deep familiarity with the K-Beauty industry, including brands, product launches, ingredients, trends, and consumer conversations Strong understanding of U.S. culture and social media behavior Fluency in U.S. pop culture, internet culture, beauty culture, and current social conversations Strong awareness of emerging social media and digital trends Genuine passion for social media, content, and online communities A creative eye and strong understanding of what makes content engaging Strong written communication skills and the ability to adapt brand voice across platforms Naturally curious and constantly aware of what is happening across social media Strong community-building instincts and an understanding that social media is about more than simply posting content Ability to identify trends early and recognize which ones are actually relevant to the brand Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a Social Media Manager Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple social initiatives at once What Makes This Role Different

We’re not looking for someone who simply checks the social media boxes.

The right person is someone who spends time on social media because they genuinely understand it. You know the difference between a trend that has already peaked and one that is starting to take off. You understand why something resonates with a U.S. audience and how the same piece of content may need to be approached differently across platforms.

You’re deeply familiar with beauty and K-Beauty, naturally plugged into pop culture, and able to turn what you’re seeing online into relevant content, conversations, and community-building opportunities for the brand.
