About the Role

Role summary: This role keeps the e-commerce operation accurate and moving. Product setups, promotions, launches, and site updates all pass through it, and the standard is that work goes live on time, correctly, and without rework. It is the connective tissue between production, marketing, creative, customer experience, inventory, and external partners, owning the trackers, calendars, and QA checklists that make a fast-moving DTC business reliable. It suits someone early in their e-commerce career who is unusually organised and wants scope to grow.

Key responsibilities: Day-to-day site and product operations Execute product setup end-to-end: SKUs, variants, pricing, inventory linkage, sizing charts + fit guides, categories and collections, tags, metafields, and merchandising placement. Ensure products are adhering to SEO and LLM best practices, working alongside our agency partner to maintain consistency and seek improvement over time. Load and QA product copy and imagery, keeping naming, sizing, and attribute conventions consistent across the catalogue. Merchandise collections and site navigation to drive discovery and conversion, optimizing product sorting, filtering and collection logic based on performance data Build and schedule promotions, discount codes, campaign landing pages and seasonal gift guides, and verify they behave correctly at checkout. Support product launches and drops: pre-launch checks, go-live execution, and post-launch verification. Make routine site updates — banners, navigation + taxonomy, collection ordering, search + filtering, content blocks — on schedule.

Coordination and process Coordinate across marketing, creative, customer experience, inventory and planning, and external partners such as agencies, developers, and 3PLs. Create and merchandise relevant collection landing pages to support campaigns (email, SMS, ads, etc.) Own and maintain trackers, launch calendars, documentation, and QA checklists so status is visible without being requested. Chase and close open items; keep a clear view of what is blocked, on whom, and by when. Organize and project manage creative + copy needed to meet go-live deadlines (e.g, PDP imagery, PDP copy, homepage hero creative, gift guide creative, etc.) Write and maintain SOPs for recurring workflows so processes survive handover and holidays.

Issue monitoring and reporting Monitor the site for issues — broken links, missing images, out-of-stock display, pricing errors, checkout friction — and route them to the right owner with enough detail to act on. Run recurring checks across key journeys and devices, especially after launches or theme changes. Pull and circulate operational reporting, and follow up on the actions it surfaces. Escalate patterns rather than only incidents; propose the process fix when an error recurs.

How success is measured On-time, error-free launch and promotion execution. Reduction in post-go-live corrections and rework. Product data accuracy and catalogue consistency. Speed of issue detection and routing; nothing sits unowned. Trackers and documentation current enough that others rely on them.

Required 2-3+ years in e-commerce operations, merchandising operations, or a similar coordination role. Genuine attention to detail — notices the wrong price, the missing alt text, the collection sorted incorrectly. Obsessed with ecommerce, with an eye towards peers, competitors and best-practices, demonstrating a curiosity and a drive to continue raising the bar Strong project coordination and clear written communication, with follow-up that does not need reminding. Comfortable in a fast-moving DTC environment where priorities shift within the week. Solid spreadsheet skills. Hands-on Shopify experience, including admin, collections, and discount logic.

Preferred Exposure to a PIM, ERP, or inventory system (Netsuite preferred). Basic familiarity with web data platforms like GA4, Edgemesh and Looker Studio. Light HTML and CSS comfort for content blocks. AI aptitude Tools and systems: Shopify admin, Google Sheets and Excel, project tools (Asana / Notion / ClickUp), GA4, helpdesk tools (Gorgias / Zendesk), and inventory or ERP systems. Competencies and working style: Reliable under deadline pressure; treats a launch date as a commitment. Proactive rather than reactive; surfaces risks before they become incidents. Comfortable coordinating colleagues more senior than themselves. Motivated to build better process, not just clear a queue.

30/60/90-day outcomes: First 30 days: Learn the core operating workflows and systems, shadow a full launch cycle, and take ownership of the key trackers, calendars, and recurring processes. By 60 days: Independently coordinate routine site changes, promotions, and launches end-to-end, including cross-functional follow-up and QA, with minimal supervision. By 90 days: Build out a robust SOPs document with key workflows of the function outlined. Use that work to identify and implement at least 2–3 process improvements that either measurably reduce errors or that measurably improve site performance.
