About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Bilingual Lemon Law Paralegal to join our growing remote legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a U.S. law firm and be comfortable handling Lemon Law and consumer litigation matters from client intake through resolution.
The successful candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. This position will work closely with attorneys, case managers, clients, manufacturers, dealerships, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities Assist attorneys with Lemon Law and consumer litigation cases from intake through settlement or resolution. Communicate professionally with clients in English and Spanish by phone, email, and other communication platforms. Conduct client intake interviews and gather information regarding vehicle purchase/lease history, warranty coverage, repair attempts, defects, and damages. Review, organize, and summarize repair orders, invoices, warranty documents, purchase agreements, and other case evidence. Prepare case chronologies, factual summaries, damages summaries, and case reports. Draft and assist with legal documents, correspondence, demand letters, discovery responses, settlement documents, pleadings, and other case materials under attorney supervision. Track case deadlines, court dates, discovery deadlines, hearings, depositions, and settlement requirements. Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files and ensure documents are properly labeled and uploaded. Conduct basic legal and factual research relating to Lemon Law and consumer protection matters. Coordinate with attorneys, clients, manufacturers, dealerships, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel as necessary. Assist attorneys with settlement negotiations, mediation preparation, deposition preparation, and trial preparation. Follow up with clients and other parties to obtain missing documents and information. Maintain accurate case notes and update the firm's case management system. Protect confidential client and firm information at all times. Identify potential case issues and promptly escalate matters requiring attorney review. Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. Required Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish — written and spoken. Minimum 2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, preferably with a U.S. law firm. Experience with Lemon Law, consumer litigation, civil litigation, or personal injury law strongly preferred. Strong understanding of legal terminology and litigation procedures. Experience reviewing and organizing legal documents and case evidence. Strong legal writing, proofreading, and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently. Strong client-service and interpersonal skills. Comfortable communicating with Spanish-speaking clients regarding legal processes and case information. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Reliable high-speed internet and a professional, distraction-free workspace. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Preferred Qualifications Experience with California Lemon Law / Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act matters. Experience with U.S. state or federal court procedures. Experience with e-filing systems. Experience with Clio, Filevine, MyCase, Litify, or similar legal case-management platforms. Experience handling discovery and litigation deadlines. Paralegal certificate or degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. Experience providing Spanish-English legal interpretation or translation.
Must-Have Skills
Minimum 2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience with fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken), strong understanding of legal terminology and litigation procedures, and proven ability to manage multiple cases independently.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with California Lemon Law matters, e-filing systems, legal case-management platforms (Clio, Filevine, MyCase, Litify), state/federal court procedures, paralegal certificate or degree, and Spanish-English legal interpretation or translation.
