About the Role
REPORTING STRUCTURE This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting and works closely with the broader Finance and Accounting team.
ABOUT THE ROLE We are a California-based beauty, fashion, and wellness brand seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the day-to-day responsibilities of the Finance and Accounting Department. This role focuses primarily on e-commerce revenue accounting and inventory accounting functions and plays an important part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the accounting of the e-commerce revenue stream, including revenue recognition, sales tax
considerations, and daily or weekly cash reconciliation.
- Manage accounting functions surrounding inventory, including inventory costing, valuation, and
count reconciliation across channels.
- Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close process, including journal entries, account
reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing existing workflows and
recommending process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Research and interpret financial data to answer accounting and financial questions as they arise,
escalating complex issues as appropriate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, Supply Chain, and E-Commerce to
support accurate financial reporting.
- Support additional accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned by the Accounting
Manager or Controller.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
- 2 years of experience in an accounting-related role; e-commerce and inventory accounting
strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial
modeling.
- ERP system experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with GAAP and standard accounting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and
meet deadlines consistently.
- Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across
teams.
Must-Have Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years in accounting roles with e-commerce and inventory accounting experience, advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)
- ERP system experience required (NetSuite expertise)
- Experience with revenue recognition and sales tax accounting, process improvement background, and cross-functional collaboration in consumer brands.
