Bilingual Certified Pharmacy Technician (English/Spanish)

About the Role We are looking for a compassionate, bilingual Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) who is passionate about providing an exceptional patient experience. This role is more than processing prescriptions—it's about serving as a trusted guide for patients throughout their healthcare journey.

As the first point of contact, you'll proactively reach out to patients, answer questions, help manage medication orders, and coordinate closely with our pharmacy team. You'll work alongside pharmacists, escalating clinical questions when appropriate while ensuring every patient interaction reflects empathy, professionalism, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively contact patients via phone to guide them through their medication and order journey.
• Deliver a warm, empathetic, and professional patient experience in both English and Spanish.
• Edit and manage prescription orders within the pharmacy management system.
• Route all clinical questions, medication counseling requests, and pharmacist-only responsibilities to the licensed pharmacist.
• Coordinate daily with internal teams through Slack to ensure seamless patient support.
• Monitor patient progress and follow up proactively rather than waiting for inbound inquiries.
• Assist patients with order updates, shipping questions, refill requests, and general account support.
• Document patient interactions accurately and maintain complete records.

Collaborate with operations and pharmacy teams to resolve issues quickly while maintaining compliance.

• Ensure all activities comply with HIPAA and applicable pharmacy regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification in good standing.
• Native or near-native spoken English with exceptional verbal communication skills.
• Fluent conversational Spanish with the ability to comfortably assist Spanish speaking patients.
• Previous experience working directly with patients in a pharmacy, healthcare, or customer-facing environment.
• Warm, compassionate personality with outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Highly proactive—you naturally reach out to patients before problems arise.
• Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Comfortable working throughout the day in Slack and other digital collaboration tools.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work US business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting patients in a telehealth or remote pharmacy environment.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription workflows.
• Experience coordinating with pharmacists and healthcare providers.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
• Experience using Slack and other modern communication tools.

• Pharmacy management system, Slack, phone communication platform, and HIPAA-compliant documentation systems.
