About the Role
Job Title: Photo Editor (Junior) — Image Resizing Type: Part-time, 35 hours/week Level: Junior Status: Immediate hire (urgent)
About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented junior Photo Editor to join immediately on a part-time basis. The primary focus of this role is resizing images at scale — reformatting product and marketing photography to meet specifications across web, ecommerce, and social channels. This is a high-volume, execution-focused role ideal for someone early in their photo editing career who is fast, consistent, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Resize and reformat large batches of images to defined dimensions and specifications
- Maintain consistency in quality, cropping, aspect ratio, and file naming across all assets
- Optimize images for web and ecommerce performance (file size, resolution, format)
- Organize and manage image files within shared folders and asset libraries
- Turn around requests quickly to meet daily/weekly volume targets
- Flag quality issues and follow brand guidelines consistently
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (batch processing/actions a strong plus) and/or Lightroom
- Basic understanding of image formats, resolution, compression, and export settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across high volumes
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good written communication and responsiveness
Nice to Have
- Experience with ecommerce/product imagery
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma, or bulk image resizing utilities
- Prior experience supporting a D2C or consumer brand
Availability
35 hours/week, immediate start
Must-Have Skills
- Junior-level photo editor with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom, strong attention to detail, and ability to resize and reformat high-volume batches of images consistently while meeting daily deadlines.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with ecommerce or product imagery, familiarity with Canva, Figma, or bulk image resizing utilities, and prior support for D2C or consumer brands.
Tools & Tech Stack
- Adobe Photoshop (batch processing/actions preferred) and/or Lightroom, plus file management systems for organizing assets in shared folders and libraries.
