AI Project Manager (Remote) Location: Remote

About the Role We're hiring an AI Project Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of AI and automation projects, from scoping and planning through build, launch, and iteration. You'll sit at the intersection of technical teams, stakeholders, and business goals, translating ambiguous AI opportunities into structured, shippable work.

This is a delivery-focused role. You'll keep projects on scope, on time, and on budget while managing the unique realities of AI work: fast-moving tooling, experimental workstreams, data dependencies, and outcomes that need real-world validation. You bring the rigor of strong project management and enough AI fluency to make smart tradeoffs and speak credibly with engineers, data scientists, and vendors.

What You'll Own

• End-to-end delivery. Lead AI/ML and automation projects across the full lifecycle —

discovery, scoping, planning, execution, launch, and post-launch iteration.

• Scoping & requirements. Turn ambiguous AI ideas into clear problem statements,

success metrics, and prioritized requirements in partnership with stakeholders and technical leads.

• Planning & tracking. Build realistic roadmaps, timelines, and milestones. Manage

scope, budget, and risk, and keep everyone aligned on status and next steps.

• Cross-functional coordination. Orchestrate engineers, data scientists, designers,

product, and external vendors. Remove blockers and keep work moving.

• Data & model dependencies. Track data readiness, model performance, evaluation

criteria, and integration requirements as first-class parts of the plan.

• Stakeholder communication. Deliver clear, jargon-free updates to leadership and

business teams. Manage expectations around what AI can and can't do, and when.

• Risk & quality management. Anticipate technical, data, and delivery risks. Establish

testing, evaluation, and validation checkpoints before launch.

• Process & documentation. Maintain clean project documentation, decision logs, and repeatable workflows so delivery gets faster and more reliable over time.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of project or program management experience, ideally delivering technical, data, or software products.
• Direct experience managing AI, ML, data, or automation projects — you understand how these differ from standard software delivery (experimentation, data dependencies, evaluation, iteration).
• Working fluency in AI concepts: LLMs, model evaluation, prompt/workflow design, automation, and the current tooling landscape (e.g., OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, no code automation platforms).
• Strong command of PM fundamentals — scoping, estimation, risk management,

stakeholder alignment — and modern PM tools (Notion, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Linear).

• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate between technical and business audiences.
• Comfortable operating amid ambiguity and rapid change, with a bias toward structure and shipping.
• Strong ownership mindset — you drive projects to outcomes rather than just tracking them.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, AI evaluation frameworks, or building internal AI workflows.
• Background in a technical discipline (engineering, data, analytics) or prior work closely alongside ML/data teams.
• Experience managing external vendors or AI tooling procurement.
• Familiarity with agile delivery and lightweight, adaptable process design.
