About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Domestic Traffic Analyst to own the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of domestic shipments across the United States. In this role, you will manage carrier coordination, shipment execution, delivery scheduling, and logistics performance while maintaining high OTIF standards and controlling freight costs.
You will serve as the primary point of contact between carriers, warehouses, 3PLs, and internal teams, proactively identifying risks, resolving transportation bottlenecks, and ensuring seamless execution across all domestic shipping channels before issues impact customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities Shipment Execution & Logistics Coordination: Coordinate domestic inbound and outbound shipments across truck, rail, and air transportation, managing carrier relationships, shipment scheduling, delivery appointments, and shipping documentation/Incoterms.
OTIF Performance & Delay Management: Monitor real-time shipment progress, proactively identify potential delays or disruptions, and escalate shipment risks early with corrective actions to consistently meet or exceed company OTIF targets.
Routing & Freight Cost Optimization: Optimize freight mode selection and routing decisions to balance cost and service levels, coordinating closely with palletization and routing teams while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency.
TMS & NetSuite System Management: Maintain accurate shipment records and transportation data within TMS and NetSuite ERP, responding promptly to carrier, warehouse, 3PL, and internal stakeholder inquiries.
Analytics & Performance Tracking: Analyze transportation performance, carrier KPIs, freight spend, and logistics trends to improve operational reporting and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Must-Have Skills
- Domestic Logistics Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in transportation, domestic logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain operations, with strong multi-modal transportation knowledge.
- TMS & ERP Proficiency: Direct experience working within Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and NetSuite ERP.
- Carrier & 3PL Management: Proven ability to manage carrier relationships, freight brokers, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers effectively.
- OTIF & Cost Control Acumen: Strong understanding of OTIF performance metrics, freight cost management, Incoterms, and transportation documentation.
- Operational Availability: Ability to work standard Monday – Friday PST business hours in a fast-paced environment.
