About the Role
As our CRO Manager, you will own the end-to-end conversion optimization strategy for our ecommerce website. You'll develop a structured testing roadmap, execute A/B and multivariate experiments, optimize landing pages and conversion funnels, refine website copy, and ensure every customer interaction is optimized for performance.
This is a highly cross-functional role that partners closely with Marketing, Creative, Design, Development, and Ecommerce teams to continuously improve the customer journey and maximize conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities
*Own and manage the company's entire Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) program.
*Develop and prioritize a strategic testing roadmap based on customer insights, analytics, and business objectives.
*Plan, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests across landing pages, product pages, checkout flows, and website funnels.
*Identify friction points throughout the customer journey and recommend data-backed improvements.
*Optimize landing pages for higher conversion, engagement, and revenue. Write, edit, and refine website copy focused on improving user engagement and conversion.
*Implement website revisions and collaborate with developers to ensure accurate deployment of changes.
*Conduct ongoing quality assurance (QA) testing to identify bugs, broken experiences, and conversion blockers.
*Perform regular website audits and glitch testing across desktop and mobile devices.
*Analyze customer behavior using heatmaps, session recordings, funnel reports, and analytics platforms.
*Measure test performance and present actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
*Collaborate with Paid Media, Email Marketing, Creative, and Product teams to ensure cohesive optimization strategies.
*Stay current with CRO best practices, UX trends, and ecommerce optimization techniques.
What Success Looks Like
*Owns and continuously improves the CRO roadmap with a consistent pipeline of experiments.
*Launches meaningful A/B tests that generate measurable improvements in conversion rate, revenue per visitor, and average order value.
*Maintains a high-performing website with minimal bugs and friction points.
*Delivers actionable insights through data analysis and customer research.
*Works collaboratively across teams to create a seamless and optimized customer experience.
*Continuously identifies new opportunities to improve website performance and business results.
Must-Have Skills
- 4+ years of experience in Conversion Rate Optimization for ecommerce or DTC brands.
- Proven experience owning and executing a structured CRO testing program.
- Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical significance.
- Experience optimizing landing pages, website funnels, and checkout experiences.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write high-converting web content.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting customer behavior data.
- Experience implementing website updates using modern CMS or ecommerce platforms.
- Detail-oriented with strong QA and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Comfortable collaborating across marketing, creative, design, and development teams.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar
- Optimizely, VWO, Convert, Intelligems, or similar testing platforms
- Google Tag Manager
- Looker Studio or other reporting tools
- Experience improving mobile conversion rates.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and customer psychology.
- Experience working in fast-paced DTC ecommerce environments.
