BI Analyst (Order Fulfilment & Operations)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented BI Analyst to support and optimize order fulfillment and shipping operations through data analysis and business intelligence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational problems, investigating data discrepancies, and building reporting solutions that drive informed business decisions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor fulfillment performance, identify process improvements, and ensure data accuracy across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze order fulfillment processes to identify delays, bottlenecks, and operational exceptions.
• Investigate the complete order lifecycle to determine root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Write, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting, analysis, and data validation.
• Compare and reconcile data across multiple databases and tables to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Perform invoice reconciliations and identify discrepancies between operational and financial data.
• Automate recurring reports, data validation processes, and operational workflows where possible.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact business performance.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot business issues using data-driven insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through reporting and process optimization.

Interview Process

Stage 1: Recruiter Screening (30 minutes)

• Review of experience, communication skills, availability, and compensation expectations.

Stage 2: Technical Interview (60 minutes)

• Deep dive into SQL knowledge, BI tools, data reconciliation, analytical thinking, and previous projects.
• Discussion of fulfillment, reporting, and operational problem-solving experience.

Stage 3: Final Interview (45–60 minutes)

• Strong SQL expertise, including:
• Complex queries
• Joins
• Aggregations
• Data validation and reconciliation
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience investigating data issues across multiple data sources.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of relational databases and database relationships.
• Basic knowledge of order fulfillment, logistics, or operational workflows.
• Experience reconciling operational and financial data.

• Python or another programming language.
• Advanced Tableau or Power BI dashboard development.
• Experience automating reporting and operational workflows.
• Experience working with fulfillment, shipping, or ecommerce operations.
