Video Editor (Short-Form Content)
Job Type: Full-Time Location: Remote Working Hours: Flexible, with some overlap for team communication.
About the Role
We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to turn long-form content into engaging, high-performing short-form videos across multiple social media platforms. You'll primarily edit podcast episodes and founder content, creating polished clips that maximize engagement, retention, and reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Review podcast episodes and long-form founder content to identify compelling moments.
- Edit engaging short-form videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
- Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, animations, music, and other visual enhancements where appropriate.
- Create strong hooks and optimize pacing to improve audience retention.
- Maintain a consistent editing style that aligns with the company's brand.
- Deliver content on schedule while managing multiple projects efficiently.
- Collaborate with the content team to incorporate feedback and revisions.
- Organize project files and maintain a streamlined editing workflow.
Monthly Content Scope
- Edit 4 podcast episodes, creating approximately 4 short clips from each episode (around 16 videos).
- Edit 12 short-form videos from the founder's long-form content.
- Deliver approximately 28 short-form videos per month.
- Estimated editing time is approximately 30 minutes per video (around 14 hours of editing per month), excluding revisions, feedback, and project management.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality short-form social media content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or another professional video editing platform.
- Experience editing podcasts, interviews, or talking-head content.
- Strong understanding of current short-form content trends and platform best practices.
- Excellent storytelling, pacing, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and equipment capable of handling professional video editing.
Nice to Have
- Experience creating content for founders, coaches, or personal brands.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, basic animation, and AI-assisted editing tools.
- Experience editing content for B2B, education, or thought leadership brands.
Must-Have Skills
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio of short-form social media content, proven expertise editing podcasts and talking-head footage, and proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software.
Nice-to-Have
- Familiarity with current social media trends, experience optimizing content for TikTok/Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts/LinkedIn, and knowledge of caption, animation, and graphics integration for maximum engagement.

- Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional video editing software, with reliable internet connection and equipment suitable for remote work.
