PLM Application & Systems Manager

We are seeking an experienced Application & Systems Manager to own the strategy, administration, implementation, and optimization of our internal business applications. This role will be responsible for managing critical enterprise systems—including Jira—and leading the technical implementation of a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. The ideal candidate combines technical systems expertise with strong project management skills and enjoys building scalable processes that improve collaboration across Product Development, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and other business functions.

Responsibilities: System Ownership: Serve as the primary admin for critical enterprise applications, with a heavy focus on Jira.

Security & Workflows: Manage configurations, user permissions, security, custom workflows, automations, and reporting.

Optimization: Continuous monitor performance, drive user adoption, and build scalable processes to improve operational efficiency.

End-to-End Delivery: Lead the technical implementation, configuration, testing, and rollout of a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform.

Project Oversight: Manage project timelines, budgets, data migration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and vendor relationships.

Architecture & Integration: Gather requirements to design and build integrations between Jira, the new PLM, and other business systems.

Workflow Design: Create scalable dashboards and workflows that connect Product, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.

Enablement: Provide end-user support, maintain clear system documentation, and deliver staff training.

• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise business applications and systems.
• Proven track record leading large-scale enterprise software implementations from inception to launch.
• Strong experience administering Jira in a business environment, including workflows, permission schemes, and automations.
• Demonstrated expertise with system integrations, workflow automation, and business process optimization.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a knack for managing budgets, timelines, and risks.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Direct experience implementing or administering PLM platforms (e.g., Centric PLM, Propel, Backbone, Arena, FlexPLM).
• Deep expertise across the Atlassian product suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Industry experience within consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or eCommerce organizations.
• Familiarity with major ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Vendor management experience, specifically handling external software vendors and third-party implementation partners.
• Jira Administrator certification is highly preferred.
