About the Role

We’re helping our client find an eCommerce Operations & Site Strategy Lead to own the day-to-day management, optimization, and future growth of their Shopify storefront. This role combines Shopify operations, merchandising, sales reporting, landing page management, SEO/AEO initiatives, and AI-powered workflow development. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of both execution and strategy in a fast-paced DTC environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the website performs at a high level while helping the business stay ahead of emerging trends in AI search, agentic commerce, and digital customer experiences.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing Shopify or Shopify Plus stores for a consumer-facing brand.
  • Strong experience with Shopify themes, metafields, tags, product setup, collections, and merchandising workflows.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and optimize landing pages using Replo or a similar page-building platform.
  • Experience pulling, analyzing, and reporting on eCommerce performance data using Shopify reporting tools, ShopifyQL, or CSV exports.
  • Strong understanding of technical and on-page SEO best practices and their impact on eCommerce growth.
  • Demonstrated experience building and improving AI-powered workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to independently manage projects and drive results.
  • Experience performing site QA, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience across desktop and mobile devices.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience managing both DTC and wholesale operations within Shopify.
  • Familiarity with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and emerging AI search platforms.
  • Experience preparing eCommerce brands for agentic commerce platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI.
  • Knowledge of conversion rate optimization and eCommerce testing methodologies.
  • Experience supporting paid media, product launches, or lifecycle marketing initiatives through landing page development.
  • Experience working with fast-growing DTC consumer brands.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and automation platforms beyond basic prompt usage.
