Our client is looking for a Product & Packaging Development Specialist to support the development and execution of consumable products and packaging initiatives from concept through launch. This role will serve as a critical operational partner between suppliers, internal stakeholders, regulatory teams, design teams, and manufacturing partners to ensure projects move efficiently, accurately, and compliantly through the product development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing supplier communications, product documentation, packaging workflows, costing updates, and regulatory support in a fast-paced consumer products environment.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

●Manage day-to-day communication with suppliers, manufacturers, fillers, and packaging vendors.

●Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions to ensure milestones are met.

●Communicate product briefs, specifications, revisions, and approvals clearly and accurately.

●Track outstanding actions and proactively escalate risks, delays, or critical issues.

𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

●Maintain organized product development files, specifications, and documentation.

●Create and update product fact sheets and supporting product information.

●Manage assigned projects within Asana, ensuring tasks, owners, deadlines, and updates remain current.

●Document meeting outcomes, decisions, and action items.

𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

●Review packaging artwork, technical packs, line sheets, and production proofs for accuracy.

●Coordinate artwork approvals and routing between internal stakeholders and suppliers.

●Support packaging copy development and revisions for regulatory and marketing review.

●Ensure packaging assets are approved and delivered according to launch timelines.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 & 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭

●Maintain product development trackers including SKU lists, BOMs, line lists, ETA trackers, and master costing sheets.

●Support supplier pricing updates, quote management, and cost negotiations.

●Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies with manufacturing partners.

●Assist with margin analysis and product costing initiatives.

𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 & 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭

●Coordinate collection of regulatory documentation from suppliers and manufacturers.

●Verify packaging copy, claims, and product specifications against regulatory requirements.

●Support compliance reviews for retailer and market-specific requirements.

●Escalate compliance risks and documentation gaps before production approval.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

●Conduct competitor research and product benchmarking analyses.

●Support cost comparison and commercial analysis projects.

●Assist with post-launch performance reviews and reporting.

●Prepare summaries and presentations for leadership review.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤

●Coordinate consumer testing initiatives and product feedback programs.

●Manage study setup and logistics through testing platforms.

●Compile results and create executive summaries and recommendations.

●Support product improvement initiatives based on consumer insights.

𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

●Partner closely with Product Development, Design, Regulatory, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.

●Support onboarding and process training for new team members as needed.

●Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiency and product quality.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

●3+ years of experience in Product Development, Packaging Development, Product Operations, or a related field.

●Experience supporting consumer products, beauty, personal care, wellness, or CPG brands.

●Strong understanding of packaging development and product commercialization processes.

●Experience managing supplier communications and project timelines.

●Advanced organizational and project coordination skills.

●Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities.

●Experience managing BOMs, SKU trackers, costing sheets, and product documentation.

●Proficiency with Asana, Google Workspace, and Excel.

●Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

●Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

●Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

●Self-starter with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.

●Experience with regulatory documentation and compliance processes is highly preferred.

●Experience with consumer testing platforms such as Sourcerie is a plus.

• 3+ years in product development, packaging development, or product operations within consumer products, beauty, personal care, or CPG brands, with strong supplier communication and project coordination experience.

• Experience with regulatory documentation and compliance processes, familiarity with consumer testing platforms like Sourcerie, and competitor research/benchmarking expertise.

• Asana, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Excel, and proficiency managing BOMs, SKU trackers, costing sheets, and packaging artwork files.
