About the Role
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Email Marketing & SMS Marketing Specialist to lead customer retention, engagement, and lifecycle marketing initiatives for a fast-growing eCommerce brand. This role will be responsible for developing and executing email and SMS strategies that drive revenue, increase customer lifetime value, and strengthen customer relationships throughout the buyer journey.
In addition to lifecycle marketing responsibilities, this position will support social media management efforts, helping maintain a consistent brand presence and foster community engagement across key digital channels. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in email and SMS platforms with exceptional copywriting, analytical, and project management skills. They thrive in fast-paced environments, are passionate about customer experience, and understand how to leverage data to continuously optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities: -Manage and execute email and SMS marketing campaigns to drive engagement, retention, and revenue. -Build and optimize automated customer journeys, including welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, and loyalty flows. -Maintain promotional calendars and support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and marketing initiatives. -Segment audiences and personalize messaging to improve campaign performance. -Conduct A/B testing and optimize campaigns based on performance data. -Monitor email deliverability, list health, and SMS compliance. -Manage social media content calendars, scheduling, and publishing. -Engage with customers across social channels and support community management. -Collaborate with creative, eCommerce, and marketing teams on campaign execution. -Track and report on email, SMS, and social media KPIs, providing actionable recommendations.
Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years of email and SMS marketing experience for eCommerce or DTC brands.
- Experience with Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, Omnisend, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing, automation, segmentation, and retention strategies.
- Experience managing social media accounts for consumer brands.
- Familiarity with Shopify and eCommerce marketing ecosystems.
- Strong copywriting, communication, and project management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing campaign performance and optimizing results.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in golf, sports, apparel, lifestyle, luxury, or premium consumer brands.
- Experience with influencer, ambassador, or community-driven marketing programs.
- Knowledge of loyalty and retention marketing strategies.
- Experience with Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with UGC and content-driven growth initiatives.
