Project Manager (E-commerce Beauty Industry)

About the Role

On behalf of a VIP client in the beauty and wellness space, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to serve as the operational hub of the Product Development organization. This individual will drive cross-functional alignment and ensure new product launches, reformulations, packaging updates, and artwork changes are executed seamlessly from concept through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead cross-functional projects across Product Development, Packaging, Regulatory, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Creative, Sales, Finance, and external partners.
• Manage projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring milestones, approvals, deliverables, and dependencies are completed on time.
• Facilitate project kickoffs, status meetings, milestone reviews, and launch readiness meetings.
• Maintain accountability across stakeholders by documenting decisions, action items, and next steps.

New Product Development & Commercialization

• Manage new product launches, reformulations, packaging updates, and artwork changes.
• Coordinate formulation, packaging, testing, claims, artwork, and commercialization activities.
• Ensure project timelines remain aligned with launch objectives and business priorities.
• Monitor critical path activities and proactively address bottlenecks.

Regulatory & Compliance Coordination

• Manage regulatory review timelines and cross-functional approval processes.

Coordinate compliance requirements for domestic and international markets.

• Ensure all documentation and approvals are completed throughout the product development lifecycle.

Risk Management & Problem Solving

• Identify project risks, resource constraints, and timeline challenges.
• Develop mitigation plans and contingency strategies with key stakeholders.
• Escalate critical issues when necessary to ensure successful launch execution.
• Anticipate and resolve problems before they impact project timelines.

Supply Chain & Operations Support

• Partner closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams to support launch planning and inventory readiness.
• Coordinate with external manufacturers, suppliers, testing laboratories, and packaging partners.
• Ensure manufacturing and commercialization timelines remain on track.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain project timelines, trackers, workflow systems, and project documentation.
• Provide leadership with clear and concise project updates, reporting, and visibility into progress.
• Ensure project data remains accurate, organized, and actionable.

• 4+ years of project management experience within the beauty, skincare, personal care, or wellness industry.
• Proven experience managing new product development (NPD) and commercialization projects from concept through launch.
• Strong understanding of stage-gate product development processes and timeline management.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product Development, Packaging, Regulatory, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Creative teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively identify risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability without direct authority.

• NetSuite ERP experience.
• Experience managing relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, testing laboratories, and packaging vendors.
• PMP certification or formal project management training.
• Experience utilizing AI tools to improve productivity, reporting, or workflow efficiency.
