About the Role

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Category Manager to lead growth, positioning, and marketing initiatives within the fitness category. This role will focus on expanding reach among fitness and active lifestyle consumers, optimizing product assortment, and driving category performance through insights and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category growth strategies aligned with overall business objectives
  • Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to plan and execute campaigns and product launches
  • Identify opportunities for category expansion, innovation, and customer acquisition
  • Support merchandising strategies, including product assortment and positioning
  • Monitor category performance and provide actionable insights to improve results

Qualifications

  • Experience in category management, product marketing, or brand strategy
  • Strong understanding of fitness and active lifestyle consumer markets
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
  • Experience in supplements, wellness, or consumer brands is a plus

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in category management, product marketing, or brand strategy
  • Strong understanding of fitness and active lifestyle audiences and trends
  • Ability to analyze data and market insights to drive strategic decisions
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Background in supplements, wellness, or broader consumer packaged goods (CPG)
  • Experience identifying growth opportunities and launching new product initiatives

Must-Have Skills

  • Category management, product marketing, or brand strategy experience with demonstrated understanding of fitness and active lifestyle markets, plus strong communication and analytical capabilities.

Nice-to-Have

  • Background in supplements, wellness, or consumer brand experience.
