About the Role
Job Title: Audio & Video QA Specialist
Job Type: Full-time / Remote

Job Overview:
We’re helping our client find an Audio & Video QA Specialist to serve as the final quality checkpoint for all video and podcast content before it goes live. In this role, you will review and ensure every piece of content meets high-quality standards—especially audio—while contributing to maintaining a consistently polished and professional brand output.
Responsibilities:
- Review all podcast episodes, YouTube videos, clips, reels, shorts, and promotional content before publishing
- Ensure audio quality meets company standards
- Identify issues including:
- Audio distortion
- Background noise
- Volume inconsistencies
- Missing audio
- Audio sync problems
- Abrupt cuts or transitions
- Echo or microphone issues
- Review video quality, graphics, captions, titles, lower thirds, and branding
- Verify that timestamps, links, sponsor reads, and call-to-actions are accurate
- Ensure content matches approved edits and final creative direction
- Provide detailed feedback to editors for corrections
- Maintain QA checklists and documentation for recurring issues
- Work closely with editors, producers, and content teams to improve overall content quality
Requirements:
Must-Have:
- 2+ years of experience in content QA, post-production review, or media operations
- Strong understanding of audio production and podcast standards
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to identify subtle audio and video issues that others miss
- Experience reviewing long-form podcast content
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Frame.io or similar video review and collaboration platforms (e.g., Vimeo Review, Wipster, Screenlight)
- Familiarity with YouTube, social media content, and creator workflows
- Comfortable working within tight publishing deadlines
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Familiarity with Figma for reviewing graphic assets, titles, and branded visuals
- Podcast production background
- YouTube content operations experience
- Experience with Descript, Riverside, or similar tools
- Experience working with creator, media, or podcast brands
Success Metrics:
- Near-zero publishing errors
- Consistently high audio quality across all content
- Reduction in post-publication fixes and re-uploads
- Fast turnaround on content reviews
- Continuous improvement of editorial quality standards
Non-Negotiable:
- Audio quality is the highest priority.
- If something looks perfect but sounds bad, it fails QA.
- This role exists to protect the brand by ensuring every piece of content sounds professional, polished, and enjoyable to consume before it reaches the audience.
Must-Have Skills
- 2+ years in content QA, post-production review, or media operations with strong audio production knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and proven experience reviewing long-form podcast content.
Nice-to-Have
- Video editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, familiarity with Figma for graphic assets, podcast production background, YouTube operations experience, and exposure to Descript or Riverside.
Tools & Tech Stack
- Adobe Frame.io or equivalent video review platforms (Vimeo Review, Wipster, Screenlight); familiarity with YouTube and social media publishing workflows.
