About the Role
Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer Revenue Reporting & KPI Infrastructure About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to help build the data foundation for a fast-growing oral care / teeth whitening brand. This person will connect revenue streams, set up a data warehouse environment, build clean reporting tables, and support leadership with reliable KPI reporting. This role is ideal for someone technical, execution-focused, and comfortable working closely with business operators to turn messy data into usable dashboards, reports, and decision-making tools. Responsibilities
Connect all key revenue streams and business data sources into a consolidated reporting environment. Set up and manage a data warehouse, ideally in BigQuery, though experience with similar warehouses is acceptable. Build, clean, and maintain the core data tables needed for reporting and KPI tracking. Partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clean data models. Support leadership in building visibility into revenue, customer, operations, and performance KPIs. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports. Help establish the data infrastructure needed for a small internal team to run day-to-day reporting. Requirements
Experience working with BigQuery, SQL, or another modern data warehouse. Strong SQL skills and ability to build clean, usable data tables. Experience connecting multiple data sources into a centralized reporting environment. Comfortable working with revenue, customer, ecommerce, or operational data. Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and understand business reporting needs. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies. Self-starter who can build from scratch without needing a large data team around them. Nice to Have
Experience with ecommerce, DTC, oral care, beauty, wellness, or subscription-based brands. Experience with tools like Shopify, Stripe, Recharge, Amazon, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo, or similar platforms. Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools. Familiarity with dbt, ETL tools, APIs, or automation workflows.
Must-Have Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering experience with BigQuery, SQL, or modern data warehouses, plus proven ability to connect multiple data sources and build clean reporting tables for non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with ecommerce/DTC platforms (Shopify, Stripe, Recharge), BI tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI), dbt, ETL tools, or APIs; background in oral care, beauty, wellness, or subscription brands is a bonus.
Tools & Tech Stack
- BigQuery (or equivalent modern data warehouse), SQL, and data integration/ETL capabilities to connect platforms like Shopify, Stripe, and advertising tools.
