About the Role
About the Role We’re looking for a world-class Creative Director to work directly alongside a high-profile beauty founder and CEO to help scale and elevate her personal brand across social media platforms.
This person will lead the creative vision, content direction, and video editing pipeline behind a fast-moving founder-led content engine. You’ll oversee the development of short-form video content, social storytelling, visual branding, and creator-style content designed to drive engagement, awareness, and audience growth across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and emerging social channels.
You should deeply understand internet culture, social-first storytelling, pacing, hooks, retention, and what makes founder content feel authentic while still premium and high-performing. This is a highly collaborative, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to turn raw moments into polished, viral-ready content.
Responsibilities -Lead and manage a team of video editors, designers, and social content creatives -Develop and execute the founder’s overall social content strategy and creative direction -Review, approve, and provide feedback on daily video edits, graphics, thumbnails, captions, and content assets -Identify trends, viral formats, creator styles, and storytelling approaches that align with the founder’s voice -Build scalable systems and workflows for rapid content production and publishing -Collaborate closely with the founder to capture authentic behind-the-scenes, leadership, lifestyle, beauty, and business content -Create content concepts designed to increase engagement, followers, shares, and brand affinity -Work cross-functionally with marketing, brand, social, and creative teams -Ensure all content aligns with premium brand standards while remaining platform-native -Analyze performance metrics and optimize content strategy based on engagement, retention, and growth -Help manage content calendars, posting schedules, and campaign launches Oversee asset organization and creative approvals across platforms
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in creative direction, social content, media production, or founder/personal brand content
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and social-first storytelling
- Experience managing video editors and creative teams
- Exceptional creative taste and understanding of pacing, hooks, trends, and retention
- Ability to provide actionable creative feedback quickly and effectively
- Experience working with founder-led brands, creators, influencers, executives, or public-facing personalities is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of beauty, lifestyle, fashion, wellness, or consumer brands is a plus
Nice-to-Have
- Experience helping scale a founder or creator’s social following significantly
- Experience directing UGC-style or performance-driven content
- Strong visual storytelling instincts and creative production experience
- Experience with viral content frameworks and short-form scripting
- Background in beauty, DTC, or creator economy brands
Tools & Tech Stack
- Familiarity with editing workflows and tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, Frame.io, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and social-first storytelling
