About the Role
Scope of the Role
Our client is a fast-growing beauty and skincare startup with a scientific, lab-to-consumer approach to product development. Recently launched at Ulta, the brand is entering a key growth stage and is seeking a Social Media Manager to take ownership of its social presence across Instagram and TikTok for the US market. This role will focus on building a stronger social strategy, increasing engagement, managing daily content execution, and helping drive momentum following the brand’s Ulta launch. The ideal candidate is highly organised, trend-aware, proactive, and experienced in beauty and skincare social media management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the brand’s Instagram and TikTok presence for the US market
- Create and execute daily content calendars aligned with brand goals and product launches
- Collaborate with the in-house graphic designer to produce engaging social content
- Publish daily posts, stories, reels, and TikTok videos
- Monitor and respond to DMs, comments, and community interactions promptly
- Build and maintain a strong online community and consistent brand voice
- Identify social media trends, viral opportunities, and platform best practices
- Support influencer outreach and partnership initiatives
- Research and recommend influencer collaborations aligned with the brand aesthetic and audience
- Track engagement metrics and suggest performance improvements
- Assist with campaigns tied to Ulta launches and retail partnerships
Must-Have Skills
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for beauty, skincare, wellness, or lifestyle brands
- Strong experience managing Instagram and TikTok accounts
- Experience with content planning, scheduling, and community management
- Strong understanding of US beauty and skincare consumer trends
- Experience responding to customer inquiries, comments, and DMs
- Ability to identify trends and create platform-relevant content strategies
- Excellent written English communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage daily posting schedules independently
- Experience collaborating with designers and content creators remotely
Nice-to-Have
- Previous experience working with brands sold at Ulta or Sephora
- Influencer marketing and creator partnership experience
- Experience supporting product launches in the beauty industry
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools for social media performance
- Experience in startup or fast-paced environments
