About the Role

Job Title: Finance Assistant Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-time Work Schedule: US Hours

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations. This fully remote role will play a key part in ensuring smooth accounts payable processes, maintaining approval workflows, and acting as a liaison between internal teams and the finance function. You will work closely under daily supervision, with clear oversight of tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments Follow up with internal stakeholders and vendors on outstanding invoices, approvals, and documentation Review and track payment approvals, ensuring compliance with internal processes Escalate issues, delays, or discrepancies proactively to the relevant stakeholders Support communication and coordination between non-finance teams and the finance department Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed

What Success Looks Like -Payments are processed accurately and on time

-Approval workflows run smoothly with minimal delays

-Issues are identified early and escalated appropriately

-Strong collaboration between finance and other teams

Must-Have Skills

  • 1–3 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative role
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles (e.g., invoices, reconciliations, expense tracking), with the ability to confidently engage with the finance team
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and communicating with non-finance stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and escalate when necessary
  • Ability to work under structured oversight, with daily guidance and review of tasks

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
  • Exposure to accounts payable workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with financial reporting or reconciliation processes
