About the Role
Overview: We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Editor-in-Chief to lead the editorial vision for a modern digital media brand focused on social commerce, influencer marketing, affiliate ecosystems, and the creator economy. This role combines high-level editorial leadership with hands-on oversight of AI-assisted content production. The ideal candidate understands how to maintain exceptional editorial quality while building scalable systems that leverage AI effectively. You will shape not only what gets published, but also how content is produced, refined, distributed, and optimized across multiple channels. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of media, technology, audience growth, and AI-powered publishing.
Key Responsibilities: Editorial Leadership & Content Strategy Develop and execute the overall editorial vision and publishing strategy. Own and manage the editorial calendar aligned with industry trends, audience interests, and business priorities. Identify timely topics, trends, and opportunities within social commerce, influencer marketing, affiliate ecosystems, and the creator economy. Ensure content output consistently reinforces thought leadership and industry authority. AI-Assisted Editorial Workflows Lead a human-in-the-loop (HITL) editorial process for AI-assisted content creation. Review, edit, and approve AI-generated articles to ensure accuracy, clarity, depth, originality, and alignment with editorial standards. Create scalable workflows that improve efficiency without compromising quality. Continuously improve prompts, systems, and editorial processes tied to AI-generated content. Newsletter Strategy & Audience Engagement Develop and manage recurring newsletters focused on industry insights and emerging trends. Define newsletter structure, editorial direction, and tone of voice. Implement strategies to improve subscriber growth, retention, open rates, and engagement. Support multi-channel distribution strategies across email and social platforms. Brand Voice & Editorial Standards Define and document editorial guidelines, tone, and brand voice. Ensure consistency across articles, newsletters, and future media formats. Maintain strong quality control standards across both AI-assisted and human-created content. Strengthen content by adding context, analysis, and deeper industry insights where needed. Audience Growth & Distribution Develop strategies to increase readership, engagement, and brand visibility. Optimize content for SEO, discoverability, and platform distribution. Use analytics and audience insights to inform editorial and content decisions. Identify partnership and distribution opportunities that expand audience reach and authority. Performance & Optimization Monitor editorial performance metrics and audience behavior trends. Use data and editorial feedback loops to continuously improve content effectiveness. Evolve editorial systems and workflows to support scale and long-term growth.
Qualifications Proven experience in editorial leadership, content strategy, or media (preferably in marketing, e-commerce, or tech). Strong understanding of social commerce, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, or the creator economy. Experience working with AI-generated content or content automation workflows is highly preferred. Exceptional editing, writing, and storytelling skills. Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform content decisions. Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-moving environment.
