AP Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and process-driven Accounts Payable Manager to lead and stabilize our AP operations. This role will be critical in improving existing workflows, clearing backlogs, and supporting a potential transition to an offshore AP structure. You will work closely with finance leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across all AP processes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor management
• Stabilize and streamline current AP processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls
• Manage and reduce any existing backlog while implementing sustainable process improvements
• Develop, refine, and maintain clear SOPs and process documentation (including Loom/video-based guides where applicable)
• Support knowledge transfer and onboarding for offshore or distributed AP teams
• Partner closely with the Controller and Finance team to support month-end close and reporting requirements
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and system enhancements

Requirements

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable leadership or management roles
• Strong experience working with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite or similar platforms)
• Demonstrated ability to step into complex or disorganized environments and quickly drive structure and improvements
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
